LUOFUCON^® Silver Gelling Fiber Surgical Dressing is a smart dressing made up of several layers of flexible materials, such as PU film, super absorbent fiber (SAF), silver gelling fiber, and a silicone contact layer. This product is safeguarded by a European design patent.

The unique die-cut patterns enhance the product’s ability to contour comfortably to the wound, ensuring optimal adherence and enabling the absorption of exudate. Moreover, it improves the dressing’s ability to adapt to the body, so prolonging the duration it can be worn.

The silicone contact layer has a design with windows, which enables direct contact between the silver gelling fiber and the wound bed.

The silver ions in the dressing provide good protection against microbial infection or bacterial colonization for a duration of 7 days.

The antibacterial rate was 99.99%.

Microbial barrier properties

LUOFUCON^® Silver Gelling Fiber Surgical Dressing has a microbial barrier properties. Experimental evidence demonstrates its effectiveness in preventing the passage of MRSA (Gram-positive bacteria), E. coli (Gram-negative bacteria), C. albicans (fungi -yeast), and A. niger (fungi – mold).

OTC Indications

LUOFUCON^® Antibacterial Gelling Fiber Cover Dressing may be used for:

● Minor abrasions; ● Minor cuts;
● Minor lacerations; ● Minor scalds and burns.

Contraindication

LUOFUCON^® Silver Gelling Fiber Surgical Dressing should not be used on individuals who are sensitive to the dressing or its components or have had an allergic reaction to the dressing or its components.

Broad-spectrum Antibacterial & Rapid Effectiveness

LUOFUCON^® Silver Gelling Fiber Surgical Dressing promptly releases silver upon absorbing exudate, efficiently killing bacteria and safeguarding the dressing against microbial contamination or bacterial colonization. Fig 1 shows that that this product achieves a 99.99% antibacterial rate within the initial 24 hours. It exhibits equivalent efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Furthermore, this antibacterial impact can last for a duration of up to 7 days.

Conformability

The comfort of dressings reflects their ability to adapt to the shape and movement of the body, typically characterized by extensibility and permanent deformation. The smaller the extensibility data of the dressing, the less force required to stretch the dressing, making it easier to stretch; a smaller value of permanent deformation indicates that the degree of deformation of the dressing after stretching will be smaller, allowing the dressing to more fully recover its original shape. From the Fig 2 and Fig 3 show that , it can be seen that the extensibility of LUOFUCON^® Silver Gelling Fiber Surgical Dressing indicating good elasticity. The permanent deformation value is in the middle to lower range, indicating that the degree of deformation of the dressing is small, and it can more fully recover its original state after being stretched.

Instructions for use

1.Before applying the dressing, cleanse the wound/incision site, rinse well with sterile saline and dry the surrounding skin.
2.Choose a dressing size to ensure direct contact between the wound/incision and the gelling fiber pad.
3.Remove the central release film of the dressing.
4.Place the central pad directly on the wound/incision site, remove the remaining release films along the contour of the dressing. To dress knee incisions, the knee should be slightly bent at the suitable degree of angle.
5.Gently mold the dressing in place with hand for a secure adhesion. Do not stretch.
